An Inishowen equine centre that supports children and adults with additional needs is holding a coffee morning to help raise funds for essential equipment.

Glebe Farm Equine Learning, based at Glebe, Carndonagh, is hosting the event on Saturday, September 12, from 10am to 1pm.

Organisers say the morning will provide an opportunity to meet others and find out more about what the farm does, while helping to support its ongoing work.

Glebe Farm Equine Learning uses horses to create a calm and non-judgemental environment where children, young people and adults can learn, explore and develop at their own pace.

The work at the farm is entirely ground-based, with no riding involved. Instead, participants engage with the horses through observation, connection and meaningful interaction, with an emphasis on mutual respect and allowing each person to progress at a pace that feels comfortable.

The Carndonagh farm welcomes people of all ages, including children with autism and additional needs, vulnerable adults and seniors, providing a quiet and supportive space away from the pressures of everyday life.

Through its work, Glebe Farm aims to help build confidence, create connections, develop life skills and support wellbeing, while celebrating the individual achievements of those who take part.

The peaceful Inishowen countryside also plays an important role, with the natural surroundings and gentle rhythm of the horses helping to create a safe and grounded setting.

The coffee morning will take place at Glebe Farm Equine Learning, Glebe, Carndonagh, F93 W61F.
