Glenswilly take all the plaudits after another busy weekend of sport in Donegal. The men from the Glen overcame the odds to defeat Kilcar in a very competitive county final. Michael Murphy, once again, was their main man with great support from Neil Gallagher and Ciaran Gibbons.
There was also great championship success for Burt, lifting a first ever Intermediate title, overcoming Milford in the replayed final on Saturday in O'Donnell Park. It was no surprise that they bowed out in Ulster on Sunday, having to play that tie less than 20 hours after winning the Donegal title.
St. Eunan's, once again, took home another championship as they overcame Gaoth Dobhair in the Senior B final.
Killybegs and Glenfin must meet again to decide the championship relegation issue, while Four Masters won the Southern U-13 title.
On the soccer fields, Finn Harps lost out away to Cork and now have a difficult game next weekend away to Wexford. Their U-19s also bowed out of the U-19 competition at the semi-final stages.
There was no luck for the Ulster Senior League team in the Interprovincials. For a full round-up of Donegal League, Youth League and Schoolboys see today's Donegal People's Press/Donegal Democrat.
