Glasgow Celtic supporters turned out in huge numbers for a special Celtic night in the Silver Tassie Hotel, Letterkenny, on Sunday night.
The occasion was a charity fundraising event run by the Donegal Celtic Supporters Club in association with the Celtic Foundation.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers was the special guest.
“We had a brilliant night the place was packed, 580 people sat for the meal,” said Denis O’Donnell of the Donegal Celtic Supporters club.
“Brendan Rodgers was brilliant. We also had John Clarke one of the Lisbon Lions and we made a presentation to John and we also had the four cups - the Scottish Cup, the Scottish League Cup, the Scottish Championship Cup and a replica of the European Cup.
Celtic won the European Cup in 1967.
“It really was a brilliant night and we hope to raise €30,000 from the night for the two charities,” Denis said. Autism Ireland and Down Syndrome Ireland are the charities to benefit from the event.
