Letterkenny gardaí on the prowl with drivers stopped for a litany of offences

Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit are out on the roads this St. Brigid's Bank Holiday Weekend and drivers were arrested for no driving licence, insurance or NCT, positive drugs tests, while others were hit with Fixed Charge Penalty Notices for speeding

'Never take unnecessary risks on the roads,' An Garda Siochana has warned

Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit are out on the roads this St. Brigid's Bank Holiday Weekend.

They stopped a driver who had no driving licence or insurance on Friday. The car was seized and court proceedings will follow.

A number of drivers were detected travelling in excess of the legal speed limit today and yesterday in the Letterkenny area and Fixed Charge Penalty Notices were issued.

A driver was arrested on suspicion of drug driving on Saturday after they tested positive for cannabis and a car was seized later in the day as the driver had no driving licence or insurance. The car did not have a valid NCT or tax. Court proceedings will follow.

"Never take unnecessary risks on the roads," An Garda Siochana has warned. "Make responsible decisions as a driver. Slow down. Never drive while under the influence of alcohol or drugs."
