Colm 'Wooly' Parkinson will make his TV debut this week as he takes his Smaller Fish GAA Show in front of the Virgin Media cameras.
Parkinson, who was part of the Laois team which claimed Leinster glory in 2003, founded Smaller Fish GAA almost three years ago in January 2021. The former Portlaoise footballer won a Leinster Club Championship in 2004 with his club which saw him being crowned Laois Player of the Year as well as Leinster Club Player of the Year.
As stated on the Smaller Fish GAA website, the name of his company originates from a post-match interview involving Davy Fitzgerald after Clare's drawn All-Ireland Final against Cork. On that day Fitzgerald said, "It’s harder get the breaks when you’re the Smaller Fish."
'Wooly' posted a press conference type clip to the Smaller Fish GAA X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday referencing the above quote which can be heard in the video below.
