Darragh 'The Menace' Ennis answered fans questions on TikTok
Darragh Ennis, the Irish star of popular game show The Chase has revealed to fans exactly where the prize money goes and how much the chasers are paid.
Darragh, better known by his nickname The Menace, took to TikTok to answer fans burning questions about whether or not the chasers get to keep the prize money that the contestants lose on the show.
Darragh said:
"A lot of people ask me, do we get the money when we beat contestants on the chase, do we win that money?
I wish we did, I really wish we did, I'd be a lot better off believe me, but no we don't.
That money isn't actually real until someone wins, it's just numbers on a screen until it's won, so it just disappears."

Darragh, who originally appeared on The Chase as a contestant, joined The Beast, The Governess, The Dark Destroyer, The Sinnerman and The Vixen to become a chaser on the ITV show back in 2020.
In the video, Darragh also said a lot of people had been asking him how much the chasers get paid, to which he said:
"I finally thought, I'll just tell you, this is exactly how much it is", he then points to the top of the screen where text reads "None of your business".
Floods of comments came in asking follow up questions, one user asked if he needed to work another job and is the pay on The Chase enough to live an average lifestyle, to which Darragh replied, "I have another job, I'm a scientist."
