Michaela Harlkin and Jack Larry will compete for the coveted title of Glór Tíre Country Music Champion 2025
Country singers Michaela Harkin and Jack Larry will be flying the flag for their native Donegal when they appear in the new season of Glór Tíre.
For the second year running, Donegal will have two entrants on TG4’s Glór Tíre, the most successful and longest-running Country Music series on Irish television. Michaela, who is from Moville, and Buncrana native Jack will be hoping to emulate the success of last year’s Donegal duo - Ramelton's Jason McCahill, the eventual winner of the last series, and finalist Chelsea Evans from Dunfanaghy.
Glór Tíre will be broadcast on Ireland’s national Irish language station, TG4, for what will be its landmark 21st season in March and April, but the opening four episodes are being recorded on January 29 and 30, in front of an audience of fans and dancers.
At these recordings, Michaela and Jack will sing solo and perform with their mentors for this season of Glór Tíre: Michaela with fellow Donegal singer, David James, and Jack with Mike Denver, one of the most popular performers on the Irish Country circuit.

Glór Tíre will be presented by Aoife Ní Thuairisg. The resident judges will be Jó Ní Chéide, from RTÉ Raidio na Gaeltachta, and singer Caitriona Ní Shuilleabháin. Each week, they will be joined by guest judges.
Produced by Galway production company, Gael Media, Glór Tíre is widely regarded as the premier platform for new and emerging Country and Irish talent, and is highly respected among Country artists and eagerly anticipated each year by Country fans.
The public is invited to attend the recording sessions and dance the night away with sets from Cliona Hagan and Mike Denver (January 29) and David James and The Tumbling Paddies (January 30th). The recordings take place in Stiúideo Telegael An Tullach, Baile na hAbhann, Co na Gaillimhe (H91 W319). To book tickets email glortiredancers@gmail.com.
Broadcast dates for Glór Tíre Season 21 on TG4 are March Tuesday 4, 11, 18 and 25 and live shows on the April 1, 8, and 15 at 9.30pm.
