A well known and highly popular choral group from Donegal have recorded yet another prestigious notch on their bow having recently made an extremely successful appearance in our capital city.

Yet again we are hearing about the Donegal Abbey Singers and their resounding achievements around the country.

The choir held a very successful concert in the prestigious Powerscourt Art Gallery in Dublin to herald the Christmas season which was a night of great enjoyment for both the audience and the choir alike.

Musical Director, Eileen Carr, continues to lead the choir from strength to strength with dedication and time, which is much appreciated by all. The concert was a complete sell out and the members would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who worked so hard in the Powerscourt Art Gallery in preparation for this magical recital.

Alongside Eileen on the evening were Evan McGarrigle (who accompanied the choir on piano), Mella Britton and Pat Doherty, Theres Campbell, Michael Classon, Mary Corcoran and Deborah Cunningham who all delighted the audience with their individual talents.

The choir continues to flourish with the release of a CD, which is currently in the making, so keep an eye out for details of this launch which is soon to be announced
