Almost 500 people travelled from all over the North West to see Jenny Bristow cook for charity.
The ladies of Ballylennon PW launched their cook book ‘Country Kitchen-Tried and Tested’ at the event and the large turnout, at the Mount Errigal Hotel, Letterkenny, exceeded all expectations.
The members, located near St. Johnston, compiled the book to celebrate their 70th anniversary. This was the third book in the history of the organisation.
The proceeds of the event and the launch will be shared between The Patients Comfort Fund, The Oncology Unit, Letterkenny General Hospital and a new girls’ school in Kenya. The Oncology Unit has touched the lives of almost every family in the Donegal and the girls’ school is being set up by Donegal couple Linda and Derek Roulston from Newtowncunningham. Linda Roulston was present at Wednesday night’s event and expressed her thanks.
Jenny Bristow cooked recipes from the book and shared many tips along the way.
Local businesses advertised in the book and donated prizes, making it a fun night for everyone.
