Killybegs couple Jacinta and Eamon McHugh who attended the Royal Film Premiere in London for the film Mandela: Long walk to freedom. As well as the Mc Hugh’s on the red carpet were Royal’s William and Kate and the stars of the film.
Jacinta and Hugh were attending along with Troy (Co Founder Junk Kouture) and Ale Armour who were there with a number of Junk Kouture creations. Students Romy Marren from Athlone and Ta Naw Naw from Ballina won the Glamour Prize at the Junk kouture final in May. This prize meant they would walk the red carpet to show off their dresses to the world’s media. The 2014 Junk Kouture competition opens in January with registration taking place until January 31st.
Sadly, as we now know, Nelson Mandela passed away in South Africa but his daughters, who were attending the premiere, requested that the screening continue.
