Seven cyclists undertook the 200km journey from Ballyshannon to Belfast last Saturday to support diabetes research and services.

Ballyshannon Cllr. Brendan Travers wished the members of the ‘Strive for 5’ cycling club well as they set out at 8am on their ‘Atlantic to Titanic Challenge’.

The cyclists, who are all diabetics, said they wanted to show people “that there’s life after diagnosis and it’s a condition you can control with the right diet and exercise.”
