Conor Kelly sets U20 National Record in Mannheim

Conor Kelly clocked a new U20 National Record in the 400m at the Junioren Gala in Mannheim on Saturday.

The Finn Valley clubman crossed the line in 46.06, beating his own record of 46.18 he set last month in Brussels.

Kelly was second in the race, finishing behind South Africa's Leendert Koekemoer, who won in 45.41.

The time also sees him go ahead of Tomas Horak in the European Junior top list for the year, while it was also a Donegal record.
The teenager is enjoying a great season to date and has National Championships and European Juniors coming up next.
