Catriona Devine after helping the Ireland W50 team break the record
Catriona Devine was part of an Irish team that clocked a new World Masters age category record this week.
The Finn Valley AC athlete was on the Ireland W50 team that set a new W50 4x800m relay record while competing in Dublin.
Devine, who hails from Castlefin, was joined by Geraldine Vahey, Ann Marie Connellan and Mary Leech to clock 10:02.78.
They were running at the Dublin Graded Meet in Lucan.
The new time lowers the previous record, 10:14.64, which was set by the United States of America in 2019.
In July 2019, a US quartet of Christine Olen, Aeron Genet, Terry Ballou and Lisa Valle set the record in Ames, Iowa.
