Kay Byrne after her race in Poland
Kay Byrne added two European Masters medals to her collection on Wednesday in Poland.
The Finn Valley AC athlete won silver in the W60 8km cross country race, helping her Ireland team to bronze in the team classification in the process.
The double medal haul followed a bronze in the 5k road race in Torun on Sunday.
In the cross country, Ballybofey woman Byrne was second behind winner Sabine Hofer from Austria.
The ever-determined Byrne followed to take silver ahead of Halina Dibiela from Poland in third.
On Sunday, Byrne finished in 20:28 over 5k on the road with Hofer also winning that race and Irene Clemens from Ireland second ahead of Byrne, with the Irish team narrowly missing medals on that occasion.
However, in the cross country Ireland took team bronze in the W60 category with Byrne joined by Clements in fifth and Anne Gormley 13th.
Milford AC’s Martin Kerr was the sixth M75 in the 5k road race - helping Ireland to team gold in the process.
Kerr finished in 24:16 with Irish team-mate John Murphy second in 21:10 and Patrick Sweeney finishing in 22:07.
Kerr’s fellow Milford AC man Brian Boyce reached the M45 400m semi-finals. Boyce was third in his semi-final in 53.97 seconds, bowing out in the process.

Boyce came through his heat in 55.41 seconds, placing second to advance.
In the M65 60m, Tir Chonaill AC’s Shane Toolan finished fifth in his heat on Sunday when going 8.89 seconds.
In the 200m, Toolan was fifth in his heat in 30.65 seconds.
Barry Mackey of Letterkenny AC has yet to compete in the M60 8km cross country while Catriona Devine from Finn Valley AC will be vying for a medal in the W50 1500m.
