A full house of 600 people were in the Finn Valley Centre in Stranorlar on Saturday night for Fight Night at the Valley.

The first professional boxing show to be held in the Twin Towns of Ballybofey and Stranorlar was hosted by Jason Quigley of Sheer Sports.

The former world middleweight title challenger said beforehand that he wanted break a mould in putting on this show - and he was true to his word as a cracking night played out in the squared circle.

All six fights on the night - a four-round amateur exhibition and five pro bouts - went their scheduled distance. 

In the headline fight, Thomas Myers from Sligo overcame Patryk Polasik while Kildare man Aodhan Byrne - who has strong family ties in Ballybofey - bagged a debut win.
