Out Now! Pick up the latest edition of Donegal Life magazine

Summer is on the horizon, the days are stretching longer, and our April/May issue of Donegal Life arrives just in time to celebrate everything bright, bold and inspiring about the season ahead

Springtime is finally here, and as the year starts to take shape it gives us great pleasure to welcome you to the April/May edition of Donegal Life - the magazine for Donegal people by Donegal people.

Open up a truly unmissable edition where inspirational stories, local pride, and remarkable people take centre stage.

We meet inspirational breast cancer survivor Deborah Bonner, who discovered strength, community and a renewed sense of purpose through the unique sport of dragon-boat racing. After regularly travelling up and down to Dublin to participate in the sport - which was formerly little known but is now on the rise - she has since established a thriving club right here in Donegal.

As excitement builds for the beloved Bluestack Challenge and preparation ramps up, Bluestack Foundation founder Patrick McBrearty shares the heart behind the charity, his hopes for 2026, and the deep pride he holds for his daughter, Áine, who inspired it all.

Meanwhile, audiologist Martina McNulty shares unforgettable moments from her career, from encounters with pop icons to standing toe-to-toe with an Olympic boxer.

We also catch up with Mary from Dungloe Festival co-director Gavin Boyle, who reveals his fascinating Seven Deadly Sins, while artist Áine Kelly invites us into the creative vision behind her exhibition, Portraits of Herstory, which was recently unveiled at the Regional Cultural Centre in Letterkenny.

And for food lovers - our conversation with the head chef at the award-winning Olde Glen Bar & Restaurant,  Ciarán Sweeney,  is not to be missed. From his early days in the kitchen to leading a standout culinary team, he shares what it takes to put a Donegal favourite firmly on the map.

From everyone here on the team - we hope you enjoy this issue of Donegal Life!
