Gardaí are appealing for information about the death of a young man in Stranorlar at the weekend.

Gardaí are appealing for information about the death of a young man in Stranorlar at the weekend.

Conor Kelly (25) of Mulreanny Terrace in the town was found lying at Railway Road, Stranolrar with serious injuries at 11.30pm on Saturday.

Mr. Kelly was taken to Letterkenny General Hospital where he was treated for serious head injuries but he passed away on Sunday evening.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the Railway Road area of Stranorlar on Saturday between 11pm and 11.30pm to come forward. It is understood gardaí are mot looking for anyone else in connection with the death.

Mr. Kelly is to be laid to rest tomorrow after 11am mass at St. Mary’s Church, Stranorlar. He was precdeceased by his mother Kathleen, sister Tanya and brother Brian. He is survived by father Michael and brothers Paul, John and Matthew and sisters Clare, Emma and Geraldine.
