One of the leading providers of communications infrastructure towers and sites in Ireland is applying for planning permission to erect a 27 metre high “multi-user telecommunications support structure” in Letterkenny.

Cignal Infrastructure Ltd is planning to erect the structure which will have ten antennas and associated remote radio units, five communications dishes, three lightning finials and ten outdoor cabinets all enclosed within a security compound surrounded by a 2.4 metre fence.

The site is at Port Road, Gortlee, Letterkenny.

The planning application states that the development will provide mobile voice and data services in the area.

Cignal Infrastructure Ltd offers a wide range of core radio and ICT communication services to their customers in Ireland, and manages tower sites and fibre infrastructure.
