The Christmas Day Dinner at The Exchange has become an important occasion in the local calendar
A community appeal has been issued ahead as organisers of the annual Christmas Day Dinner at The Exchange in Buncrana ask for help to ensure the event can go ahead for those who need it most.
With the festive season fast approaching, volunteers are seeking donations of small gifts, including items such as bath sets, gloves, scarves and other modest presents, to help make the day special for guests attending the dinner. Small cash donations are also being requested to assist with covering essential costs associated with running the event.

The Christmas Day Dinner at The Exchange has become an important occasion in the local calendar, offering warmth, companionship and a festive meal to people who might otherwise be alone on Christmas Day. Organisers say every contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference.
Donations can be left directly at The Exchange, while those who are unable to drop items in person can make a contribution online through the Exchange Inishowen website. Organisers have thanked the community in advance for their continued generosity and support, saying it is the goodwill of local people that makes the Christmas Day dinner possible each year.
