Garda appeal after public bench is stolen in Lifford

A public bench has been stolen from a footpath in Lifford. The theft occurred between the evening of Wednesday, January 11 and Thursday morning, January 12.

The Donegal County Council bench was stolen from an area on the Letterkenny road.

The bench has an iron black frame and has wooden seating. Sergeant Charlene Anderson said appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the removal or the transportation of the bench to contact the gardaí in Letterkenny.  

“Or if anyone knows the current location of the bench we would ask them to contact gardaí in Lifford,” she said.
