A bike was stolen in Letterkenny after its lock was severed off.

Gardaí have warned potential buyers that the bike that might be offered for second-hand sale is stolen.

The red and black TREK Hybrid bike was stolen from the grounds of ATU in Letterkenny between 9am on Tuesday, July 30, and 7.30am on Wednesday 31.

“We appeal to anybody who may come across this type of bike for sale on a second hand basis to alert Gardaí immediately,” Garda Sean Sweeney said.

“If anybody observed any suspicious activity around the grounds of the ATU between those dates or if they are aware of the current location of this bike then we ask them to contact Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100. Relevant information may alternatively be passed to the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111.”
