Glass chippings stolen from grave in Carndonagh

Glass chippings have been stolen from a gave in Inishowen.

Gardaí received a report this week in relation to the theft incident that occurred at the graveyard beside the Sacred Heart Church in Carndonagh.

A grave had been covered in green glass chippings in July of this year. At some stage between July 17 and October 17, the entire covering of glass chippings was removed and stolen from the grave.

“We appeal to anybody who may be able to assist with relevant information to please make contact with Gardaí in Buncrana on 074-9320540,” A garda spokesperson said. “We are anxious to progress this investigation and so we urge anybody who may have observed any type of suspicious activity around the graveyard over the course of those few months to make contact with us.”
