A young man has pleaded guilty to burglary at a house in Drumkeen on St Patrick’s Day, 2020.

Travis Lafferty appeared before Letterkenny Circuit Court.

The 24-year old is charged with burglary at St Bridget’s Crescent, Drumkeen.

He pleaded guilty when the charge was put to him in court before Judge John Aylmer.

Barrister for the accused, Mr Peter Nolan BL, instructed by solicitor Patsy Gallagher, said his client had no previous convictions.

He requested a probation and welfare report be carried out on his client to allow the consideration of suitability for community service.

Judge Aylmer agreed and the case was put back for sentence to the February session of the circuit court.
