Man needed to attend hospital after alleged assault in Ballybofey

A man was hospitalised after late-night incident in Ballybofey at a takeaway.

The man reported that he was assaulted by another man at Main Street, Ballybofey, in the early hours of Saturday, December 14, at approximately 3:40am.

He had to receive medical treatment at Letterkenny University Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

“We appeal to anybody who may have witnessed the incident to make contact with Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100,” Garda Claire Rafferty said. “If anybody travelled at Main Street, Ballybofey between 3.15am and 4am with a dash-cam, we ask them to make the footage available to Gardaí. The Garda Confidential line may be contacted on 1800 666 111.”
