Caravan destroyed by deliberate fire in Ramelton, say Gardai

The incident occurred in the Castleshanaghan area of Ramelton on Thursday, January 2 and Gardai have issued an appeal for information

A mobile home in Ramelton was destroyed in what Gardai believe was an act of arson.

The incident occurred in the Castleshanaghan area of Ramelton on Thursday, January 2.

At around 4.10am, Gardai were alerted to a fire at a mobile home. The Donegal Fire Service attended the scene.

“The mobile home was destroyed as a result of the incident,” a Garda spokesperson said. 

“It is believed that the fire may have been started deliberately. 

“We appeal to anybody who may have travelled in that area with a dash cam between 3am and 4am to make the footage available to Gardaí.
