Gardai have launched an investigation into the incident
A young male was assaulted in the middle of Burnfoot last week by a gang of youths.
Three males and two females are reported to have set upon the young male at around 8pm in the middle of the border village.
Gardai have launched a probe into the incident.
The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the incident.

A Garda spokesperson said: “We appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Gardaí in Buncrana on 074-9320540. We are particularly interested in hearing from anybody who may have travelled through Burnfoot with a dash-cam between 7.45pm and 8.15pm on that date.”
