Mercedes forces traffic onto grass verge in Burnfoot dangerous driving incident

Gardaí are investigating the incident involving a red A-Class Mercedes that performed ‘several dangerous overtakes’

The incident occurred on the R238 between Burnfoot and Fahan

A motorist forced oncoming traffic to pull onto a grass verge during overtaking manoeuvres which gardaí are investigating as dangerous driving.

Gardaí say the red A-Class Mercedes performed “several dangerous overtakes” on the R238 between Burnfoot and Fahan at around 8.45pm on Friday, May 9.

A witness reported that the Mercedes forced oncoming vehicles onto the grass verge to avoid collisions.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage that may assist them to contact Buncrana garda station on 074-9320540.
