A woman encountered suspicious activity by two men at the ATM
A woman was charged double the amount of cash she wanted to withdraw at an ATM after encountering suspicious activity by two men.
The incident occurred on Thursday May 8 at around 9pm in Moville. The men were sitting next to the ATM when the woman wanted to withdraw cash. They told her that the ATM wasn’t working, however she was able to use it.
The two men were quite insistent on standing behind her and then using the ATM immediately after her.
She was then charged double the amount that she had withdrawn.
Gardai are investigating the incident as a case of possible fraud deception. A cash capture device may have been installed.

Garda Niall Maguire has issued an appeal for anyone who may know have noticed the two men to alert gardai in Buncrana Garda Station.
