'We are out on the roads conducting high visibility checkpoints and we are applying a ZERO tolerance approach in relation to road traffic offences,' An Garda Siochana posted
Donegal gardaí have said they will be operating a zero tolerance approach after a driver was stopped today by the force in Ballyshannon and their car was seized as it had no insurance, tax or NCT.
"Travelling to the Donegal Rally this weekend?," An Garda Siochana Donegal posted. "We are out on the roads conducting high visibility checkpoints and we are applying a ZERO tolerance approach in relation to road traffic offences. Do not take unnecessary risks. Do not travel unless your documentation is up to date."
Meanwhile, gardaí from Ballybofey Garda Station have detected a number of road traffic offences at their checkpoint this evening outside the town. Fixed Charge Penalty Notices will be issued to the drivers concerned.
