Tools have been stolen after two burglaries which occurred just minutes apart in Tullydish, Buncrana.

In one burglary, which occurred between 7am and 8am on Wednesday, September 24, a farm shed was entered after the lock on the door was cut.

The lock on the outer gate was also cut. An orange Oleo Mac Sparta strimmer 441T and an orange Stihl chainsaw 028 (18 inch bar) were stolen from within.

In the second burglary - which occurred in the same area also between 7am and 8am on Wednesday, September 24 - the lock on a farm shed door was cut. The shed was empty so nothing was taken from inside.

Gardaí are appealing to anybody who may have observed any suspicious vehicles or activity in that area between those dates to contact them.

They are particularly interested in hearing about any sightings of or dash-cam footage of a silver Isuzu SUV that is believed to have been in the area with two males on board.

Anyone who comes across similar types of tools for sale on a second-hand basis, is asked to alert gardaí.

Any relevant information should be passed on to Buncrana gardaí on 074-9320540.
