The man was charged with having cannabis for the purpose of selling or otherwise supplying to others
A Donegal man has pleaded guilty to drug dealing.
Conor Burke appeared before Donegal Circuit Court on charges relating to offences in January, 2021.
The 28-year-old, of Corracramph, Barnesmore, entered guilty pleas to two charges when he was formally arraigned before Judge John Aylmer.
Burke pleaded guilty to being in possession of a controlled drug, cannabis, for the purpose of selling or otherwise supplying it to others at Orchard Park, Donegal Town, on January 2, 2021.
He also admitted being in possession of a controlled drug, cannabis, for the purpose of selling or otherwise supplying it to others at Drumrooske Estate, Donegal Town, on January 3, 2021.
Burke spoke only to plead guilty.
Mr Peter Nolan BL, solicitor for Burke, instructed by solicitor Mr Rory O’Brien, said there is a “somewhat tangled history to the matter”.
Mr Nolan told the court that his client has some minor previous convictions and asked for a full probation report.
Judge Aylmer sought a probation report and asked that it include an assessment as to Burke’s suitability for community service and the matter was adjourned until the next session of Donegal Circuit Court.
