Gardaí are investigating the alleged assault
A man left the passenger of a car hospitalised in an alleged assault after being refused a lift in Letterkenny.
The assault occurred at Lower Main Street, Letterkenny at approximately 3:30am on December 20.
Two men were sitting in a parked car at that location when a man approached the car and requested a lift.
When denied a lift, the man proceeded to assault the passenger of the car. The injured man attended Letterkenny University Hospital to receive medical treatment for non-threatening injuries.
“We appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have travelled at that location with a dash-cam around that time to get in touch with us in Letterkenny on 074-9167100,” said Garda Gráinne Doherty.
