A driver fled from gardai in Buncrana before crashing his van and leaving the scene.
Gardai are investigating the circumstances of a hit-and-run in Buncrana over the weekend, after a driver fled from guards on patrol before crashing soon afterwards.
The incident happened in the town during the early hours of Saturday morning, December 20.
Shortly after 3am, the driver of a van failed to stop when signalled to do so by gardaí on patrol at Aileach Road, Buncrana.

An hour later, at approximately 4am, gardaí discovered the same van at Ardaravan, Buncrana, where it had been involved in a single-vehicle collision.
The driver failed to remain at the scene of the crash, and investigations are ongoing.
Reports that a Garda member may have been injured during the course of the incident are incorrect.
