Motorists in east Donegal forced to ‘take evasive action’ by VW Golf driving at high speeds 

The incident took place at  Carrickshandrum, Killygordon on  the back road to Crossroads from Ballybofey on Friday, January 23 at 11.15pm

Two women were detained at Granard Garda Station on suspicion of involvement in a string of robberies

Gardaí say a silver VW Golf GTI with a partial registration of  ‘08 D’ was observed driving at high speeds

Motorists in east Donegal have been forced to “take evasive action” by a VW Golf driving at high speeds late at night.

The incident took place at  Carrickshandrum, Killygordon on  the back road to the Crossroads from Ballybofey on Friday, January 23 at 11.15pm. 

Gardaí say a silver VW Golf GTI with a partial registration of  ‘08 D’ was observed driving at high speeds in that area causing oncoming traffic to take evasive action. 

The car was travelling towards Crossroads from Ballybofey at the time.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have travelled along that route or in the Crossroads and Killygordon areas with a das-cam between 11pm and 11.45pm on that date, to make the footage available to them.
