The defendant faced six separate charges at Buncrana District Court, including three Section 2 assaults.
A man has appeared in court in Inishowen in relation to an alleged violent attack that occurred in Letterkenny earlier this week.
Jeffrey McCrea, of 11 Windmill View, Letterkenny, was charged with assaulting three different people at a residence in Letterkenny on Monday evening, January 26.
The 21-year-old defendant, who appeared before Buncrana District Court, was also charged with a breach of the peace and being highly intoxicated at Letterkenny University Hospital on the same night.
Mr McCrea, who did not speak during the brief court hearing, was further charged with Section 2 criminal damage at Letterkenny Garda Station, where it’s alleged he damaged the floor and a chair in the custody suite.
Evidence of the defendant’s arrest, charge, and caution was tendered by Garda Sergeant Conor Mulkerns in court.
Sgt Mulkerns outlined a number of strict bail conditions that have been imposed on Mr McCrea following the alleged incident, including a nighttime curfew between the hours of 10pm and 8am.
He has been ordered to stay away from 44 Windmill View in Letterkenny and to have no contact with the injured parties in this case.

Mr McCrea must remain of sober habits and sign on at Letterkenny Garda Station every Wednesday between 9am and 9pm. He must also provide a phone number, to be contactable 24/7 by gardai.
Sgt Mulkerns further clarified to the judge, that the accused is to reside at 11 Windmill View, Letterkenny, and stay away from number 44 in the same housing development.
Defence solicitor Rory O’Brien applied for disclosure and said directions will be required from the DPP.
Judge Emile Daly adjourned the case to April at Letterkenny District Court, and Mr McCrea was released on continuing bail. He signed a bail bond before leaving the courtroom, while Mr O’Brien was granted Legal Aid in the case.
