Gardaí have warned motorists of the dangers of speeding
Donegal gardaí have warned that “lives will be lost” after another speeding incident in Letterkenny.
A driver was arrested and charged to appear in court after being detected speeding at 164kph on the Dual Carriageway.
The speed was detected by Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit last night, Wednesday. The car was seized and an application will have to be made to the Judge of the District Court in order to get it back.
Earlier this week, another motorist was arrested and had their car seized, having been clocked at 179kph on the Dual Carriageway on Monday night. Another motorist was charged to appear in court after being detected travelling at 135kph in a 60kph zone on the N56 Four Lane Road in Letterkenny.

An Garda Síochána Donegal posted: “It is very simple. If some drivers continue to drive at excessive speeds on the roads then lives will be lost. Please slow down.”
