‘Large quantity’ of tools stolen from business premises in Buncrana

Gardaí are investigating the burglary in Buncrana

A “large quantity” of tools and scrap metal were stolen from a business premises in Buncrana.

The burglary occurred at Umricam, Buncrana between 6:30pm on Friday, February 13 and 8am on Saturday, February 14. 

“A shed at the business was entered and a large quantity of tools and scrap metal were stolen from within,” said Garda Gráinne Doherty. “The items stolen were 20 copper cylinders, 20 catalytic converters, a quantity of copper off cuts and wire, 3kg to 4kg of brass, a Makita Impact drill, a Makita grinder and a Stihl consaw.

“We appeal to anyone who may have been in that area between those times with a dash-cam, to make the footage available to Gardaí. Any relevant information in relation to these stolen goods or in relation to the incident itself should be passed on to Gardaí in Buncrana on 074-9320540.
