After listening to the evidence, Judge Emile Daly said it was important that drivers understand and comply with the rules of the road. She directed Mr Adam to undertake a prosocial driving course, stating that he needed to become fully aware of his responsibilities as a motorist in Ireland.
The course will cost €350, which Mr Adam must contribute. Judge Daly adjourned the case until July 9 to allow time for the driver safety course to be completed.
