Bród na Gaeltachta, Cloich Cheann Fhaola, are organising a Pride festival that will take place this summer from July 18-23 in the Falcarragh area.
Actor and activist, Pól Penrose established the organisation earlier this year, he said: "Our group recently walked in Donegal's first-ever pride parade in Inishowen and it was electric. We are hoping to match the energy, vibrance and atmosphere that we experienced there and provide the local community with an unforgettable carnival Bród parade."
The group was established this summer to celebrate the LGBTQI+ community in Cloich Cheann Fhaola and surrounding areas. The group plan to bring a variety of different cultural events together, amongst which will be drama, poetry, film, art and language workshops which will combine in a culmination of colour and vibrance over the course of the week.

"We want to provide events which are inclusive of our rich, diverse community and for all ages and genders. We are very lucky and honoured to be in co-partnership with Pobail Le Chéile and working closely with Pleanáil Teanga Chloich Cheann Fhaola," Mr Penrose said.
The Gaeltacht-based events will be bilingual and there will be a carnival parade on Saturday, June 23.
