Tank & Skinny’s founders mark milestone anniversary with 100-mile fundraiser

Shane and Ed Doherty will cycle and run around the Inishowen Peninsula on July 31, raising funds for LauraLynn and Friends of Inishowen Hospice Cancer Support as they mark a decade of serving the Muff community.
To celebrate a decade of serving the local community in Muff, brothers Shane and Ed Doherty, owners of Tank & Skinny’s, are taking on an ambitious endurance challenge around the Inishowen Peninsula while raising funds for two vital charities.
On Friday, 31 July, the pair will set out on the Inishowen 100, a gruelling 100-mile challenge combining cycling and running. Setting off from Tank & Skinny’s in Muff, the brothers will travel around the Inishowen Peninsula before returning to their starting point.
The challenge has been organised to support LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice and Friends of Inishowen Hospice Cancer Support, two organisations that provide invaluable care and support to children, adults and their families.
Tank & Skinny’s has become a well-known name across the North West, growing from its first café in Letterkenny in 2010 into a successful family-run café and bakery business with multiple locations. The Muff branch, which opened ten years ago, has become a popular hub for locals and tourists.
The brothers have also expressed their gratitude to event sponsors Foyle Fruit and Lynas Foodservice, whose support has helped make the fundraiser possible.
Donegal folk are being encouraged to support the challenge by making a donation or sharing the fundraising page. All funds raised will go directly to the two chosen charities.
“There’s no better way to celebrate than to give back to two amazing charities helping so many people and families," Shane stated. "I hope you can help us by donating whatever you can."
Donations can be made through their fundraising page via iDonate at T&S Inishowen 100.
As the countdown to the Inishowen 100 begins, the brothers are preparing for what promises to be a demanding but rewarding day for two causes close to the hearts of many families across Inishowen.
