New signage at Glenee Pass to rectify 'unnecessary traffic congestion'

New signs have been established at Glenee Pass. 

The signage has been put up in a bid to reduce traffic congestion by redirecting traffic in an efficient manner. 

The road marking will now direct traffic to go via Glenee Pass when heading to Carrick and the surrounding area.

“The unnecessary traffic congestion at Cunningham's junction from the Fintra road and campervans heading uphill rather than over the shore road should hopefully now be rectified,” Councillor Niamh Kennedy shared. “So people know it's not an industrial estate, it's a through road. More signage on the shore road will help direct transport straight through rather than up to the Cunninghams' junction.”
