Mrs Viola Duncan and members of her family presented Paddy Rooney, Chairperson of the Friends of Letterkenny University Hospital, with a cheque for €3,000.
The money was raised from donations in lieu of flowers at the funeral of her late husband Freddie Duncan, Drumconnor, Mountcharles, who passed away following a brief illness.

The donation was made in memory of Freddie and as a show of appreciation for the staff in LUH who cared for him during his illness.
