Funding for Donegal schools announced

Funding for repair and refurbishment work at four Donegal schools has been announced.

The Tnaiste and Minister for Education and Skills, Mary Coughlan TD, confirmed that funding has been provided for works to be carried out at four different schools in Donegal.

The schools in question are Scoil Bhrde in Convoy, Convoy Joint National School, Frosses National School and Scoil Oilibhir Pluincid Naofa in Ranafast.

A CCTV system has been approved for Scoil Bhrde, windows will be replaced at Convoy Joint National School, a new storm porch is to be built at Frosses National School while yard works will be carried out at Scoil Oilibhir Pluincid Naofa. Each of the projects have been approved under the Contingency Works Programme of 2010. Making the announcement, the Tnaiste said she was delighted to have been in a position to confirm that the respective schools have been approved.

"These projects are most important for each of these schools and allow staff and pupils to work and learn in the best possible environment as well as having a school of which they can be rightly proud," stated the Tnaiste.
