A Letterkenny father is offering a reward for the safe return of his daughter's buggy which was stolen from outside his house at the weekend.
Michael Peoples, from The Maples, Lismonaghan, Letterkenny told the Donegal Democrat that he could not believe that there are people out there capable of pulling off such a sickening theft.
"My daughter, Jessica, who is seven, can't understand that someone would steal her Santa present. It's been very upsetting for her and I am prepared to offer a monetary reward for the safe return of the buggy," he commented.
Michael explained that the theft took place on Sunday night or during the early hours of Monday morning.
"The buggy was on an 8 x 4 builders' steel tractor and it was stolen as well. Hopefully someone somewhere will have information about the whereabouts of both the buggy and the trailer.
The buggy, which is red in colour, is a Challenger model. Anyone with information on the stolen property is asked to contact Michael on 086-7849977.
Gardai are also investigating the matter.
