Malin Head coast Guard station reported a busy start to the summer season.
They dealt with up to five incidents across the northwest coast on Easter Sunday.
Locally they were called on at 10.30pm on Sunday night to investigate a report of a “red flare” that was observed in the St Johns Point Area of south Donegal.
RNLI teams from Killybegs and Bundoran, along with the RNLI helicopter, searched the area but found nothing.
They also answered call outs to incidents at Lough Ree in Co. Roscommon and in Keel bay in Achill Island, Co. Mayo, where a jet skier was reportedly driving dangerously through groups of bathers.
Last Thursday Bundoran RNLI were called to rescue a swimmer in difficult and the previous weekend the RNLI helicopter assisted Donegal Mountain Rescue with mission to help a stranded walker on Muckish mountain in Creeslough.
