A cross border investigation is continuing following an incident in Strabane on St Patrick’s night in which four men were stabbed.

Three men were hospitalised following the incident that occurred outside Joe’s Bar in Abercorn Square.

The joint investigation was launched as it’s believed their attackers fled across the border into Donegal.

The three men who were hospitalised included the bar owner and two brothers in their twenties.

A 26-year-old recieved 200 stitches after being slashed from his shoulder down to his waist, while his 28-year-old man received deep wounds. The owner of the bar recieved a deep stab wound to his hand.

It’s reported the incident happened after a group of up to 20 people were turned away from the bar, as it was too packed. The group then tried to force their way into the bar when the fracas broke out.
