Students in Donegal were over the moon yesterday at their exceptionally good Leaving Certificate Exam results.
A number of students scored the magic 600 points, including one at St. Eunan’s College Letterkenny, one at Loreto, Letterkenny and a third at St. Columba’s College, Stranorlar.
Results overall were reported to be even better than expected, with principals across the county saying that most most students should get their first or second choice at third level.
St. Columba’s Glenties and AVS Donegal Town, who are piloting Project Maths, were also delighted with the results in this subject, despite concerns that the exam this year had a few unexpected surprises.
Results in the LCA exams were also reported to be very good in Donegal this year.
