A female staff member at a Newtowncunninghan business has been left traumatised after a raid by two armed men yesterday morning.

Two masked men entered the business brandishing what appeared to be handguns. The female staff member was the only person in the premises at the time. The two men escaped with a sum of cash.

The men, who were wearing tracksuits and gloves, fled by car towards Derry. Inspector Pat O’Donnell said gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the area between 9am and 11am to come forward with information. He said gardaí are co-operating with the PSNI in apprehending the two men.
