The funeral takes place tomorrow, Wednesday, in Letterkenny of Stephen Malseed who passed away at the weekend at the tragic young age of 34 years.
A popular figure in the locality, he was only diagnosed recently with terminal illness and died in Letterkenny General Hospital early on Sunday morning. Employed in the maintenance department of the housing section at Donegal County Council, he resided in the Dooballagh area of the town.
He had just returned from a holiday in Bulgaria and recently attended the Carling Cup Final at Wembley.
The remains were removed yesterday, Monday, to his residence and the funeral mass takes place tomorrow at the Church of the Irish Martyrs. He will be laid to rest in Leck Cemetery.
The late Mr. Malseed is survived by his wife, Michelle, son, Shay (5), daughter Orla (3), his parents, Sammy and Marian, brother Noel, sister Miranda, and other relatives and friends to whom sincerest sympathy is extended.
