A body has been found in Killybegs, the Donegal Democrat has learned.
The body, understood to be that of a 50-year-old man from Glencolmcille, was discovered in water near the slipway within the last hour.
Gardai are at the scene.
The body was found during a search for a 91-year-old Killybegs man who went missing from Killybegs Community Hospital around noon today.
Gardaí from Ballyshannon are actively co-ordinating the search from around mid-day today. The search party included the Malin Head Coast Guard and members of the Killybeg’s coastguard team. A helicopter has also been deployed to the scene. The search is being concentrated on the rough area behind the Killybeg’s Community Hospital and the harbour area according to a member of the rescue team.
